Question one:

How many gods are there?

Answer:
There is only one God. Shema Yisra’el Adonai Eloheinu (elo-hey-nu) Adonai Echad. Hear oh Israel, the Lord your God is one.

Question two:

Are we free to redefine God or add idols to our lives?

Answer:
No, the Bible tells us that we may have no other gods before Him.

Question three:

How does knowing the one true God save us?

Answer:
“God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.

Question four:

How does following the Spirit help us?

Answer:
It is the Spirit of the living God, living in us that gives us the strength to obey Him.

Question five:

What did the prophet teach us today?

Answer:
Hosea has taught us that God’s love for us is a jealous love and that He wants us to live a life connected to Him.

“Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those with discernment listen carefully. The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. But in those paths sinners stumble and fall.” (Hosea 14:9)

What did the prophet teach us today?

Answer:
Habakkuk teaches us that God does not work in human ways that we can see and He is in control at all times and in all situations.

Question seven:

What did the prophet teach us today?

Answer:
Amos surprises Israel and us by showing us how easy it is to live only for our selves.

Question eight:

What did the prophet teach us today?

Answer:
Joel has shown us that God not only wants us to depend on Him, He wants to live in us and work through us.
