Counseling and Recovery
When you hit bumps in the road of life – whether it’s emotional, relational, spiritual or physical, Crossroads supports the ministry of Refuge Counseling Center located next to our church offices and staffed by a team of professional counselors who can assist you with counseling and recovery needs. The counseling center offers support groups, workshops, and individual and family counseling.
Pastoral Care
Although our pastors do not provide ongoing counseling they are available and equipped to provide spiritual direction, and care in difficult times. To make an appointment with one of them or let them know about a hospitalization or illness please call the church office at 463-9070.
Baptism
Baptism is an important step in your journey as a follower of Christ, and an outward symbol of the inward work of grace God has done in your life. The Bible paints a beautiful picture of baptism as our identification with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection. When you make the decision to accept Christ as your Savior, the Bible says that your old way of life is dead, and you are beginning a new life with Christ.
Accepting Christ as your Savior means you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and that by His death and bodily resurrection, He bridged the gap between you and God for all time. You enter into His life, in a sense. If you have come to this point in your spiritual journey, baptism is the way you let others know of your decision. At Crossroads, our church family comes together on this special occasion to celebrate your commitment to following Christ in your life.
Partnership (membership)
Partnership is the word we use for belonging to the group of believers at Crossroads. It also refers to our partnership with God in His work in the world, as well as our partnership with this church and its ministry in our community.
- Partners at Crossroads renew their commitment on an annual basis.
- Three times a year we hold a one-hour class to introduce people to partnership at Crossroads.
Partners are eligible to:
- Vote at all annual and special meetings, partners age 16 and older are eligible to vote concerning building projects, election of board members, and the calling of a lead pastor.
Partnership is a reminder and symbol of our commitment to participate in the life of the church and to live a Christ-centered life.
As a partner of Crossroads I commit to:
- Trusting Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and following His teachings (Romans 10:9-10)
- Calling Crossroads Community church… my Home!
- Participate as God leads, and connect with others in relationships (Acts 2:46)
- Serve my church and beyond with my spiritual gifts and passion (Romans 12:6-8)
- Honor God with my talent and resources (1Corinthians 16:2)
- Pray for and protect the unity of my church and its leaders (1Thessalonians 1:2; Hebrews 13:17)
